Monthly full building load test of generator plant at Sirius 2 – 27/02/2012 – 4D Data Centre

Wednesday, February 22nd, 2012

Dear Customers,

We have been advised of the following planned maintenance work being carried out at the 4D data centre:

What and Why

As part of our rigorous preventative maintenance schedule, please be advised that on Monday 27th February at 16:00, 4D will be conducting its monthly generator load test at our Sirius 2 facility in Byfleet. Please note that this is a routine system readiness test and will be performed in a controlled manner.

If you are on-site at the time of the test, you may notice the Computer Room Air Conditioning units and lighting turn off and on momentarily within the data floor and reception areas – this is expected and emergency lighting will be available in all areas for the duration of the test.

4D views this test to be of the category ‘low risk’ and does not foresee any disruption to on-going power or network services.

When

Start Date & Time: 27/02/2012 – 16:00

End Date: 27/02/2012 – 17:00

Regression Plan

Mains power from the national grid remains available and building load will be switched back to mains power.
