*Resolved* Maidenhead Connectivity Problems

Update 16:48: The problems were caused by a large scale DDoS attack aimed at a specific customer. We have taken some additional steps to ensure any further attacks are not as service affecting, however the sheer volume of traffic inbound was extremely high. Apologies for any inconvenience caused. The issue is now resolved.

Update: Connectivity has been restored

Dear Customers

We are aware of a problem affecting Maidenhead customers transit and interconnects. This is causing intermittent packet loss problems at this time. We have identified the problem and are working with the customer involved. Further updates will follow.

 

 

Bluesquare preventative maintenance – Monday 16th Jan 2012

We have received the following notification of planned works from Bluesquare relating to their maidenhead facility, please note there is no expected impact to service, this is advisory only.

What
We will be carrying out a replacement exercise on end-of-life capacitors in UPS 01 in Bluesquare 2 and 3.
The unit will be taken off-line for the duration of the work however due to the configuration of the installation there will be no impact to the electrical supply or resilience to your equipment

Why
This work is factory advised and forms part of our robust Planned and Preventative maintenance regime.
We carry out this exercise in keeping with the manufacturers recommended prescribed times to ensure that all of our Data Centre systems continue to deliver the performance expected in a critical environment.

When
This work will be carried out on Monday 16th January, starting at 21:00 and is tabled to last 5 hours

As the festive season is approaching we thought we’d just inform you of our opening hours during the Christmas and New Year period.

Friday 23rd December 2011 – 09:00-17:30
Saturday 24th December 2011 – CLOSED, normal out of hours procedure will be in place.
Sunday 25th December 2011 – CLOSED, normal out of hours procedure will be in place.
Monday 26th December 2011 – CLOSED, normal out of hours procedure will be in place.
Tuesday 27th December 2011 – CLOSED, normal out of hours procedure will be in place.
Wednesday 28th December 2011 – 09.00 – 17.30
Thursday 29th December 2011 – 09:00-17:30
Friday 30th December 2011 – 09:00-17:30
Saturday 31st December 2011 – CLOSED, normal out of hours procedure will be in place.

Christmas Network Change Freeze

Dear Customers,

In recognition of reduced staffing levels across the industry over the Christmas period, C4L will be conducting a network and provisioning change freeze from 16th December through to Tuesday 3rd January 2012. Throughout this period, no non-essential changes will be made to the network. Please ensure any change requests are made before Wednesday 14th December to ensure they can be completed on time.

C4L will, of course, be available 24/7 over the Christmas period for any emergencies or outages.

The platform has now been restored to service, a full report will be issued tomorrow.

The team are still working to resolve this issue, no ETA is given at this time

The commodity VPS platform is still being worked on, but all other VPS platforms are stable

As an update we should mention there is still an issue with one of our VPS platforms which we are investigating and will provide an ETA for shortly,
